When your child says no to everything
Today I want to talk about things children have to do chores, routine, homework etc etc etc…
So I went into my mum’s room and she was writing an article on Microsoft office. She was writing about stuff parents ask her, to be honest, they ask her a lot of questions like how do I battle anxiety and stress, what do I do when I don’t know what to do {to be honest just do anything}.
One of them was what should I do when my child says NO to everything well most mums don’t know it but you hold the trump cards! First, you feed them then look after them then give them love and you ask them one teeny tiny thing and what you get is an ‘oh come on mum!!!’
You know I think my mum would laugh if she read this because I do this myself but I try hard not to think ten seconds before you make a decision helps, you should pay attention to what comes out of your mouth {someone should be telling me this} now if your child says no this is how my mum reacts ‘look what I’ve done for you Ibrahim you should be grateful Ibrahim do you know how painful it was carrying you 9 months in my womb then giving birth to you’ instantly embarrassing me. My usual reaction is trying back myself up but in the end, I am a child that is my mother and there she is clearly the winner of the battle of words and here I am the loser. So in the end mothers hold special cards with them you just have to find them first.
Right now what I’m saying is probably going to work even though you may think I’m a child which is precisely why it is going to work because I am a child and it works on me. Also about the anxiety thing, my technique is just relaxing. And if your child makes you sad by accidentally blurting something out always remember they ARE CHILDREN so like me they don’t actually mean it so stop bullying yourself by saying oh no I’m such a bad mother because there is no such thing {well actually there is but does not occur often in society}
