How easy is it to be a grateful Muslim?
“And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.” [Qu’ran: 14:34]
To be a truly grateful Muslim is not easy. That is because ingratitude comes easy to us. Most of us will remain ungrateful unless we make conscious effort. Allah says in the Qur’an numerous times that most people remain ungrateful. But you won’t be one of them, inshaAllah. You will constantly be making conscious effort to remind yourself of Allah’s blessings with our Gratitude is my Attitude journal inshaAllah.
Have you already got your copy? Ok, so, right now, you are at the beginning of your spiritual journey. Starting today, you will move past ingratitude and consciously work towards being a grateful Muslim daily insha’Allah. Imagine the rewards you will be earning along the way while you journal and get your positive thinking going!!!
“And Allah will certainly reward the grateful.” [Qur’an 3: 145]
“…And whoever desires the reward of this world – We will give him thereof, and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter – We will give him thereof. And We will reward the grateful.” [Quran 3: 145]
Has someone ever said to you ‘Why can’t you just be grateful for everything you have and be happy?’ If my guess is right, either your mum or dad or a close friend, am I correct? Sometimes we try and try and yet still have negative thoughts about our life and find it difficult to put a fake smile on our face. Now that you know about the importance of gratitude, don’t expect yourself to suddenly be the most grateful Muslim ever! And don’t feel bad or guilty about the negative thoughts in your head. Allow yourself to stop, pause and breathe. Know that being truly GRATEFUL MUSLIM and content with Allah’s qadar is going to be a lengthy process. It is a journey and Allah s.w.t promised to reward you every step of the way for trying to remain grateful!!!
And that’s why we wrote the book Gratitude is my Attitude, Alhamdulillah

The content has been written by myself, Iroda Ahmed. And the whole time writing this, I had my children in my mind. I wanted to make it as relating as possible, as resonating as possible to todays pre-teens and teens. Alhamdulillah, I also got my children read along the way and give me their feedback and suggestions on how to edit parts of it. I also had a group of mothers to read it with their children and give me their suggestions too. As you can see, it took a team of us a long journey and hard work to bring the final version to you. We believe you will love this journal and so will your children inshaAllah. Are you ready to start your spiritual journey of gratitude? Yes, I hear? Bismillah, grab your copy today and get journaling. And share the khayr by spreading the message with all mum friends who have pre-teens and teens- the children will love using this journal as much as we loved making it.
